Mad Anthony Book Fair
Howdy,
Today the Mad Anthony book Fair was held at Miami University Hamilton. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I'm glad I went!
I was glad to meet Scott Francis, author of the Monster Spotter's Guide to North America. I had seen the book around, and had been meaning to purchase it. The book is a lot of fun, and I recommend picking it up. I have to admit, meeting the author of a book I just picked up made me kind of nervous, so hopefully I didn't come off being too eccentric.
The highlight of my trip was getting to meet Randy McNutt and his wife Cheryl Bauer. It's no secret I'm a huge fan of Randy McNutt, his book Lost Ohio is one of my favorite reads on forgotten and rural Ohio towns. They were both very nice to me, which is great considering I must have come off sounding like a prepubescent fangirl at an Orlando Bloom film, going on and on about how much I loved his books. Mr. McNutt told me his first book, Ghosts: Ohio's Haunted Landscapes, Lost Arts & Forgotten Places is being reissued this summer, with new material. I'm excited, and will definitely be picking that up!
